Bandwidth requirements for modern communication infrastructures are accelerating the trend of implementing more and more fiber optic solutions in mobile and stationary networks. Our fiber optic range includes products that are required to build a fiber optical transmission path. These paths are used in all places where data or optical power are meant to be transmitted.

Our product portfolio includes components for private and public networks as well as ones for industrial applications. The focus is on customized solutions and products for use in local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), in-house and hybrid cabling, and fiber management systems. More specifically, we offer active and passive components, various fibers, different cables, patch cords, and pigtails as well as cable management systems.

GGL-Transceiver

GigaLight has three product lines, the optical active transceiver, passive components and optical connectivity products.

General Photonics phase shifter produces phase shifts up to 15 pi at modulation frequencies from DC to 20 kHz.

GPC-PMC

The polarization maintaining filter coupler can either split the light from an input PM fiber between 2 output PM fibers, or can combine light signals from 2 PM input fibers into a single PM output fiber.

This device can be used either as a polarization beam combiner to combine light beams from two PM input fibers into a single output fiber, or as a polarization beamsplitter to split light from an input fiber into two output fibers of orthogonal polarization states.

General Photonics’ fiber optic circulators are compact, high-performance light-wave components that separate signals traveling in opposite directions along fibers by transmitting signals from port 1 to port 2 and port 2 to port 3, while blocking signals traveling in the opposite directions.

The LT900 Series of 1xN (1x3-1x26) optical switches combine world class switching speed with low insertion loss and excellent repeatability.
General Photonics’ motorized variable optical delay line provides low cost, precision optical path length adjustment and delay scanning functionality. This addition to the MDL product line is specifically designed for OEM applications that require continuous scanning capability and a small footprint.
